Skill for AI assistants

A file you can download so your coding assistant knows how Pagefold works while you build with it.

If you write code with an AI assistant, give it the Pagefold skill. It is a single Markdown file with the setup, the options, the hooks, every plugin and a checklist for the problems people hit most, so the assistant uses the real API and does not invent one.

Install it

Save it as pagefold/SKILL.md inside the skills folder your assistant reads: the one in your project to share it with your team, or the one in your home folder to have it everywhere.

Check where your assistant looks for skills and put the pagefold folder there. The assistant loads it when a task mentions page transitions or Pagefold.

• How to set a page up and the rules behind most problems: every page needs every container, and only transition-* elements are waited for.
• Options, instance methods, hook names and what a visit has.
• Animating with GSAP, Motion or the Web Animations API.
• A table of the plugins and what each one is for.
• How to write a plugin, and a debugging checklist.
